Who We Are
Strange Research Corporation is a security services company based in Edmonton, AB Canada. We concentrate on serving clients in Western Canada and the North-West United States. Nevertheless, we are open to engagements that involve more distant travel, wherever security assistance is needed.
Strange Research exists primarily to support the professional activities of Jason Meltzer, though we do partner with other firms and independent resources for larger and/or more widely scoped engagements. Please contact us if you have something in mind.
Jason Meltzer
Jason is the principal and director of Strange Research Corporation. Prior to founding Strange Research he was a Senior Adviser with the KPMG Information Risk Management practise in Edmonton, Alberta.
During his tenure with KPMG, Jason lead security engagements with clients in the telecom, financial, government, and energy sectors. His primary areas of professional experience are in security risk assessment, network and application penetration testing/vulnerability assessment, and security architecture.
Currently pursuing a M.Sc. in Internetworking at the University of Alberta, Jason has a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering and holds the (ISC)^2 Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) designation.
